-The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved a few resolutions after a lengthy meeting Thursday night. The first resolution was to approve the county’s recently completed 5 year, Outdoor Recreation Plan as a comprehensive outdoor recreation plan for the county. The plan took 5 months to develop and covers a wide variety of items including parks and rec inventory, overall recreation needs, community outdoor recreation plans and more. It was approved unanimously.
The next resolution approved regarded amending the 2016 budget for emergency medical dispatch software and training. The county will soon be installing its new 911 equipment as part of the massive emergency communications project and training is needed. One board member questioned why the hospital couldn’t do the training as the dispatch center has high turnover. Clark County Emergency Management Director John Ross stated that Memorial Medical Center doesn’t provide that service and Gunderson in La Crosse wouldn’t do it. It passed 23 voting yes, 3 voting no.
