Neillsville City Council Hears Tourism Committee Report

-The Neillsville City Council heard the committee reports, at the council meeting last week, from the committee meetings held in the City of Neillsville the past couple weeks.The Tourism Committee had 5 grant requests for funds obtained from the city’s room tax. They had a total of $23,689.80, $7,106.94 went to Parks and Recreation and with the money left after that, $42 went to the Clark County Press for a grant ad. That left $16,540.86 to be distributed.
The 5 grant requests were the Neillsville Chamber of Commerce, Neillsville Heritage Days, Historic Preservation Christmas Tour of Homes, Clark County Jail Museum and the Clark Cultural Art Center. $9,475.92 went to the Neillsville Chamber, $1,000 went to Heritage Days, $750 went to the Tour of Homes, $1,350 went to the Jail Museum and $3,964.94 went to CART.
