Neillsville School Board Hears Administrators’ Reports, High School, District

The Neillsville School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on last Monday.High School Principal Craig Anderson reported on attendance, scheduling, winter sports, FCCLA regional, Solo & Ensembles, FFA week, the Art department, March 9th was the Academic Letter Ceremony, March 14th was the first day of practice for track and softball and March 15th was the Cloverbelt Scholar Athlete banquet at Colby. He also reported that March 16th had National History Day events at UWEC, March 18th was a Joint Spanish Club and History Club lock-in, March 21st was the first day of baseball practice, March 21st had a Large Group Vocal Music Festival at Colby, March 29th is the first day of practice for golf and middle school softball and it’s also the first home games for softball and baseball. Finally, he stated that March 30th is CESA 10 placement testing, April 5th is the Cloverbelt Scholar banquet at Greenwood, April 6th is the Reggie Dabbs presentation, Forensics, April 8th-10th is the school play/dinner theater, April 16th-17th is the school play performance only, May 18th is the academic Awards and Scholarship presentation, the Seniors last day and May 28th is graduation.
Finally, District Administrator John Gaier reported on the April 5th ballot, a partnership with Memorial Medical Center and the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, the CWETN Network and CESA 10 Education Technology Services Department, the WASB proposed legislative agenda, poverty rates in Wisconsin, an article about Wisconsin’s economy, an article on property taxes and public schools and two Focus articles.
