(Jonathan Anderson, Marshfield News Herald) -The potential sale of Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital to Marshfield Clinic could unwind a contentious legal tussle between the two, newly released records show.Lawyers for Ministry have inquired about the possibility of suspending the lawsuit ??" targeted at Marshfield Clinic’s efforts to offer hospital services in Marshfield ??" until a final decision on the sale is reached.
The move is a sign of apparent cooperation that comes after months of clashing over Marshfield Clinic’s plans to build a new hospital in the city, which would have competed directly with Saint Joseph’s, the only hospital currently in Marshfield.
