Neillsville School Board Approves Technology Lease

-The Neillsville School Board approved to renew the technology lease for their One-to-World program. This program was started 3 years ago with the purpose of putting a computing device into the hands of every student at Neillsville. Students in the elementary were given iPads and high school students were given Chromebooks. The program proved to be very successful and now that their 3 year lease is up, the district would like to renew.
The cost will be much less this time around. Originally, there were leasing both the iPads and Chromebooks, but now they own the iPads so they’ll only be leasing the Chromebooks. This cost comes to $140,737.50. The district is also buying cases and the software needed for the Chromebooks from their budget, which the money is there, and that’s helping them save on the lease as well. The new Chromebooks the district is getting are also sturdier and significantly better than the previous model.
