Humbird Man Dies in Motorcycle vs. Deer Accident

-One person is dead after the motorcycle he was operating was struck by a deer on Shiners Road south of Walkers Road in the Township of Mentor.The Clark County Sheriff’s Office received a call of the crash at about 6:44 am, on Wednesday, March 23rd 2016. Initial investigation indicates a motorcycle, driven by 49-year-old David Reesman, was traveling south on Shiners Road when a deer entered the roadway and struck the motorcycle. Reesman lost control and was ejected. The motorcycle and Reesman were found near each other on the roadway. The deer was located in a nearby ditch.
Reesman was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Schleifer.
Alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the accident and Reesman was not wearing a helmet.
The Alma Center Fire Department and First Responders and the Black River Falls Ambulance responded to the scene with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner Schleifer. The Investigation is continuing by the Clark County Sheriff’s and Coroner’s Office.
This is the 3rd traffic fatality in Clark County for 2016.
