Owen-Withee School Board Approves Projects

-The Owen-Withee School Board approved a couple projects at their meeting last week.The board unanimously approved committing to a bleacher replacement project in the high school gym. The cost of the bleachers will be $89,000. The Goodson Company out of Milwaukee will provide the bleachers and do the install. The district will be responsible for removal of the old bleachers. The District will recoup as much of the cost of the project as possible by selling the wood bleachers and scrapping the steel understructure. A late June install of the new bleachers is planned.
The board also unanimously approved to committing to a refinishing project for the floor in the high school gym. Baseman Brothers Flooring will do the project at a cost of $18,500. The floor will be strip down to bare wood, sanded, repainted and sealed. A mid-July timeline is set for the completion of the project.
