Clark County Board of Supervisors Hears Report about Bruce Mound

-The Clark County Board of Supervisors heard a presentation about Bruce Mound at their meeting on Tuesday of last week.The meeting was held in the Chalet at Bruce Mound. First, they heard about the history of the mound as well as the creation of some of the newer hills/runs at the Winter Sports Area. They also heard about the amount of volunteer work and donations that go into supporting an entity like Bruce Mound. The Friends of Bruce Mound is a big support of everything the Winter Sports Area has to offer.
They ended the presentation by hearing about the amount of water needed (5.3 million gallons) to create snow with their 7 snow guns. Bruce Mound’s Facebook page continues to reach many people with 1,936 people reached in the 2013-14 season, all the way up to 14,858 people reached this past season. They also have over 1,108 items to rent in their ski shop, they collect 15% of sales from the restaurant that is open during open hours in the Chalet, they had 2,940 students visit Bruce Mound and more.
