Administrators' Reports at Greenwood School Board Meeting

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.District Administrator Todd Felhofer stated that the 2nd Open Enrollment promotional billboard is now up at the 73/98 intersection. He also stated that administration will be looking to update the district’s emergency plan in regard to “active shooter” procedures to better reflect current approaches and a post-graduate follow up survey is being developed to provide feedback to the district on college and career readiness and success.
He also said that the NEOLA draft policy manuals have arrived and the approval process will begin in May and run through August. The district will be using a new data warehousing program EduClimber beginning in the fall with staff receiving training in the fall and administration has begun the process of updating the district’s webpage.
Finally, Mr. Felhofer provided a legislative update. He said the following bills appear dead at this time including conceal carry on school grounds, transgender bathroom/changing room, school referendum restrictions and the change to Academic Excellence Scholarship distribution. He also said that $37,000 of district taxpayer’s money goes to private charter schools.
