Building and Grounds Report, Policy Revisions and More at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-The Owen-Withee School Board approved the 2nd reading of a changed policy at their meeting on Monday.The board unanimously approved the changes to Policy 423 Rule which coincide with the changes made to Policy 423. Policy 423 Rule is the rules and procedures needed to implement the open enrollment process. All changes were necessitated by changes to state law.
The Buildings and Grounds committee met with Charlie Schneider from CESA 10 to review the Facilities Audit and discuss some of the changes that were made to the document. After going through each issue identified in the document and categorizing them under energy efficiency and no-energy efficiency projects, the committee whittled the project list from $1.5 million to about $1 million.
Several of the non-energy efficiency projects on the list were removed because they are either already completed or they will be done out of the regular maintenance budget. The facilities audit and improvement projects will continue to be a topic of discussion.
