Owen-Withee School Board Approves Second Reading of Policies

-The Owen-Withee School District approved the 2nd reading of several policies at their meeting on Monday.The board unanimously approved the revision made to Policy 133, Filling Board Vacancies, which allows the Board President to appoint a replacement for a board member who resigns, if the full board cannot decide on a suitable replacement within 60 days of the resignation.
The board unanimously approved the changes to Policy 423 which deal with open enrollment. The major changes dealt with setting limits for the number of regular education and special education students allowed into the District under open enrollment and the language involving admittance of special education students under the open enrollment program. All the changes made to the policy were necessitated by changes to state law.
