Thorp Cheese Maker Dominates Gouda Category at World Championship Cheese Contest

-A Thorp cheese maker has dominated the Gouda cheese category at the World Championship Cheese Contest in Madison.Hollands Family Cheese won the top three places with their variety of Gouda cheese flavors. Their Marieke Gouda Caraway cheese won Best in Class with a score of 99.25. Their Marieke Gouda Truffle won the 2nd award with a score of 99.05. And with a score of 99, they won the 3rd award with their Marieke Gouda Burning Melange.
But they didn’t stop there. They also received 6th place with their Marieke Gouda Bacon with a score of 98.85 and 8th place with their Marieke Gouda Mustard Melange. The World Champion Cheese Contest began on Monday and ends today.
