53rd Eau Claire Farm Show Happening Tomorrow and Wednesday, Part 2

Monday, March 7th, 2016 -- 11:15 AM

-The 53rd Eau Claire Farm Show is happening this week.

I spoke with Steve Henry who explained more of the events that will be happening at the show.

"A couple of the other things we do too, of course, and that's been kinda of our signature, is that we do offer free health clinics. And we're fortunate this year to have, again, St. Joseph's Hospital and Sacred Heart. St. Joseph's from Chippewa Falls and Sacred Heart of Eau Claire are offering free health clinics and they expanded their clinics this year, so I think people are going to be excited about that."

"City/County Health Department is also joining us this year and they're going to be offering sampling, water sampling bottles because you may want to have your water tested. They will have the sampling bottles there and some of the instructions that go along with it."

"Also, our shows always feature something special in the way of entertainment and this year, Martha Herbert, she has been at our shows in the past. Hasn't been in the Eau Claire one for a number of years, but she's a wildlife expert out of the Twin Cities and she has a company called "Creature Encounters." Her creatures, live creatures, come from Africa, South America, Central America and also the western United States. And she'll do about a 30 minutes program at 11am and again at 1pm on both days. So, that's a live wildlife show that people can enjoy and it can be for all ages, whether adult or child."

Once again, the Eau Claire farm show is happening tomorrow, Tuesday, March 8th, and Wednesday, March 9th at its new location, the Menards Conference Center on Highway 312 from 9am until 3:30pm and it’s free admission.
