Republican Party of Clark County Holds Annual Lincoln Day Dinner

-The Republican Party of Clark County held its annual Lincoln Day Dinner at the Loyal American Legion Hall.The event was well attended with state representatives and a State Supreme Court candidate. There were several guest speakers at the event including Seth Mela who hosts the daily Feedback program on WSAU radio, Wisconsin Supreme Court Candidate Justice Rebecca Bradley, Congressman Sean Duffy, State Senator Terry Moulton, Representative Bob Kulp, Representative Kathy Bernier and Representative James Edming. U.S. Senator Ron Johnson could not make the event because of a conflict in scheduling, but his staff person Scott Bolstad did speak on his behalf.
A presidential preference straw poll was taken by the attendees giving Ted Cruz a decisive win with 50% of the votes cast. Trump came in second with 28%, Rubio garnered 18% and Kasich just 4%. The door prize went to Gerry Scharf of Granton. Dave Johansson, Chairman of the Republican Party of Clark County was pleased and appreciative of the support from the Clark County membership. He expressed appreciation to the staff of the Loyal American Legion for their great food and awesome service.
