Thorp Elementary and Middle School Students Receive Scripps Spelling Bee Certificates
Friday, April 30th, 2021 -- 12:00 PM
Sixteen Thorp Elementary and Middle School students in grades 5, 6, 7, & 8 recently received official Scripps Bee certificates for their participation in the school spelling bee.
These students earned their spot in the bee through classroom competitions, and went on to spell their way through a record 199 words and 32 rounds in the school bee.
The competition ended with Richelle Raether as the bee champion and Vivian Brown as the bee alternate with both moving on to the regional bee. Congratulations to all of these amazing spellers on their accomplishment.
5th graders include Wyatt Joerger, Ryker Moskiewicz, Jaden Ciolkosz, & Nolan Luzinski; 6th graders include Brycen Bradley, Kaelyn Soward, Ashlyn Abramczak, & Abby Teclaw; 7th graders include Landen Burkhardt, Vivian Brown-bee alternate, Brent Abramczak, & Amy Kotecki; and 8th graders include Warren Borowski, Thomas Abramczak, Dylan Mattson, & Richelle Raether-bee champion.
