53rd Eau Claire Farm Show Happening Tuesday and Wednesday, Part 1

-The 53rd Eau Claire Farm Show is happening next week.I spoke with Steve Henry who explained when and where the show is happening and what events will be at the show.
"The 53rd Annual Eau Claire Farm Show will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, March 8th and 9th. And that's a new location this year too, by the way. Menards Conference Center, which is on the northwest side of Eau Claire, just about a half mile from the I-94, 59 exit and on to Highway 312. It's actually the headquarters for Menards and the facility is brand new. It allows us to display some additional machinery that we haven't been able to do for the past 10-12 years. And our show hours will be from 9 in the morning to 3:30 in the afternoon."
"Plenty of things are going on this year. It seems like every year we add something, but we are gong back, for the third time, of showing off what we call the "Farmer's Grow America Communities." And they'll be, actually, six student farmers, from six different counties in Wisconsin, and in our neighboring area, coming in at noon on Tuesday to be awarded a check each for $2,500, so a total of 15 grand will be passed along because these students then turn around and they reflect it back or donate it back to a non-profit organization within their county. Generally, it's back to the school or FFA unit. In one case, there's a rural fire department that's going to receive the person's $2,500."
"So, we're happy to be able to do this. It is our 3rd year and it's sponsored by the Monsanto Fund. And the rewards have been phenomenal over the years when you consider the entire United States. As a matter of fact, the donations have exceeded $22 million that the students give back to the various non-profits. So, we're proud to be a part of that again this year."
As Steve mentioned, the Eau Claire farm show is happening on Tuesday, March 8th and Wednesday, March 9th at its new location, the Menards Conference Center on Highway 312 from 9am until 3:30pm and it's free admission.
