Farm Employment Webinar To Be Held
Sunday, February 28th, 2016 -- 8:39 AM
Just in time for the farm hiring rush, Farm Commons is offering a webinar on employment laws for farmers, specific to Wisconsin on Tuesday, March 8th.We'll go through all the basics- minimum wage and internships/apprenticeships, overtime, unemployment insurance, workers' compensation, record-keeping, taxes and more. The important distinction between farm and non-farm employment will be important to anyone with a diverse income stream that includes value-added elements.
Farmers will walk away with a solid understanding of the legal and regulatory issues they need to consider for their employees and interns. Farm Commons works hard to make our webinars fun, concise, and actionable. The law can be boring, as much as I hate to admit it. We make it interesting! If you aren't fond of webinars, please give ours a try. If you can't make the live event, it will be recorded and viewable anytime at our website. Attend the live event so you can get your questions answered!
Once again the event is Tuesday, March 8th at 2pm. It's free and you can register at https://farmcommons.org/wisconsin-make-employment-law-work-your-farm.
