Officer's Report at Neillsville City Council Meeting

Friday, February 26th, 2016 -- 11:02 AM

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Report of Officers at their meeting on Tuesday.

For the month of January, the department had 124 complaints, 51 service calls, 62 traffic citations, 113 traffic warnings, 8 crash investigations, 13 ordinance citations, 1 case referred to the D.A.'s office, 6 juvenile cases and 83 parking citations. All of those numbers were very close to January of 2015's numbers.

Some other notable items included Officer King completing his one-year probation period and a Letter of Commendation he received for an arrest that occurred back in September. The department also investigated a suspicious door-to-door salesman, received their new Chevy Tahoe and the graphics were done by a company in Wausau. The graphics are a little more subdued compared to other times, but when light hits it, it's very reflective to help keep the officers safe. The new equipment for the vehicle should be arriving next week.

Some final items include Chief Klueckmann attending some leadership training, a fuse was fixed on the city's siren and they're waiting for a new timer and they have a strong lead in the case involving vehicle break-ins at two Neillsville factories.
