Security Health Plan Names New Director of Pharmacy Services

-Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, Inc., has named Sue Wilhelm its new director of Pharmacy Services, responsible for ensuring pharmacy benefits offered to members provide coverage for the most clinically proven, safe and cost-effective medications.Wilhelm joins Security Health Plan following two decades in pharmacy services at Marshfield Clinic, most recently serving in a dual role as assistant director pharmacy operations and manager of Specialty Pharmacy Services. A Marshfield native, Wilhelm received a bachelor's degree in pharmacy from University of Wisconsin-Madison. Following graduation she began serving as a staff pharmacist at the Clinic and was soon promoted to pharmacy manager.
In 2009, Wilhelm spearheaded the creation of Marshfield Clinic's Specialty Pharmacy Services, which focuses on medication used to treating chronic, rare or complex health conditions. In addition to being a licensed pharmacist, Wilhelm is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist. She has served as a clinical instructor for the UW-Madison's College of Pharmacy and University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy.
