Movie with Local Roots Coming to Roger's Cinema in Marshfield this Friday

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2016 -- 9:18 AM

-A movie with local roots will be coming to Roger's Cinema in Marshfield this Friday.

The movie, Until Forever, is a story about the life and faith of Michael Boyum if Inver Grove Heights, in Minnesota, and his family. According to a release provided to me, it states: "With honesty, warmth and unexpected humor, this powerful true story illustrates the strength of faith in the midst of darkness and shows that miracles can come true in the most unexpected ways."

As for local ties, Bonnie Boyum, Michael's mother, grew up a farm in Granton and graduated from Granton High School. Michael visited the farm frequently while growing up. His aunt and uncle, Ernie and Rhoda Sternitzky, reside on that farm and a sister, Barbara Teter and her family, live close by as neighbors. Local residents and family members, Nick and Emil Sternitzky and Haley Sternitzky, were extras in the film.

You can find more information about the movie online and on Facebook and Youtube. The release does mention that due to the sensitive content of the movie, it isn't recommended for anyone under the age of 12. Also, a diaper drive will be held at the showing of Until Forever at Roger's Cinema in Marshfield on February 27th at 10am. With a donation of a package of larger sized diapers, you will get a ticket for admission, a soda and popcorn.
