CDC's Report at Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council heard the CDC's Report at their meeting on Tuesday of last week.First, the council approved to sign the withdrawal form from the Local Government Property Insurance Fund. They also heard that the Curtiss Fire Hall is almost complete and Doris Paitel is retiring. Finally, they approved Resolution #2016-10 to assign Tim Swiggum authorization to complete the Application for WAMS for the OMI Clean up.
For the CDC's Report, Tim Swiggum reported that the House of Friends After School Program is in need of more volunteers. Attendance has been about 20 kids on Monday and Wednesday. The Chamber Annual Business meeting was held Monday, February 1st with a good turnout and the guest speaker was Andrew Nussbaum from the Dept. of Tourism.
