Policy Revisions and More at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-The Owen-Withee School Board had the first reading of another policy revision and more at their meeting on Monday of last week.The board did the first reading for this rule which lists the procedures for open enrollment. Changes are very similar to the changes for the actual Policy 423. For letters F, G and H, the board will do a second reading at the March Board Meeting at which time the changes become official board policy.
Also, when the District policy manual was revised by the WASB, the daily meal allowance for board members who attend conferences and meetings was omitted. The board decided to not list a daily amount for food as it is not an issue at this time. If the costs associated with member attendance at conventions, conferences or workshops become an issue, the board will revisit this decision. Finally, the board discussed the recent WASB Annual Education Convention and changed the time of March's Board Meeting.
