Loyal's Main Street Construction Project Coming Summer of 2017, Part 2

-Members of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Gremmer and Associates, Inc. and the City of Loyal were present Thursday night to discuss the construction project happening in Loyal in the summer of 2017.Another item brought up during the meeting was the acquisition of some additional right of way. The proposed right of way is required along both sides of Main Street and corner clips of proposed right-of-way may be required at side street intersections and temporary limited easements which will be required to better blend slopes to match front yards, driveways and building fronts.
Also, since the meeting held in 2014, the South Street portion of the project was shifted to eliminate the proposed right-of-way needs along the north side of South Street. Negotiations are being started between the DOT and Loyal residents who are affected by it so they are fairly compensated for their land.
