Loyal's Main Street Construction Project Coming Summer of 2017, Part 1

-Members of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Gremmer and Associates, Inc. and the City of Loyal were present Thursday night to discuss the construction project happening in Loyal in the summer of 2017.This meeting was the 2nd held in Loyal in regards to the project. The first was held back in 2014 and the information from that meeting was taken and incorporated into the project that is coming up next year. The purpose of Thursday's meeting was to present the preliminary roadway design plans for the State Highway 98 project and allow the community to provide input and ask questions.
The project will be done to Highway 98 from Helm Street to Elm Drive in Loyal. In other words, Loyal's Main Street and South Street will be completely redone in this project. There will be a new pavement structure, new parking and bicycle accommodations, curb and gutter replacement, storm sewer replacement and improvement, sidewalk replacement, new street lighting and sanitary sewer and water main replacement.
