Neillsville City Council Approves Zoning Amendment

-The Neillsville City Council approved a zoning amendment at their meeting on Tuesday.The amendment involved the former Methodist Church and Parsonage on East 4th Street. The property was recently purchased by Linda Garrett and Sarah Holts. They plan on turning the building into the Clark Cultural Arts Center. The amendment would turn the parcels of land from residential to commercial. It was first discussed and approved at the Planning Commission meeting held on February 2nd. They council approved it at their meeting on Tuesday.
They also approved contributing $3,500 from Economic Development to marketing advertising in Midwest Living Magazine. This was first discussed and approved at an Economic Development meeting held on February 1st and the council approved it Tuesday. The council also heard the public works report and two reports from Personnel Committee meetings held on February 2nd and 4th.
