Neillsville Chamber of Commerce Annual Recognition Banquet, Part 8

-The Neillsville Chamber of Commerce held their Recognition Banquet at the Neillsville American Legion recently.After the award winners, Deanna Heiman, the award presenter, then went over the Anniversary Honors. The first was Reed School and Alan Hansen, from the Wisconsin Historical Society was present to accept the award.
Deanna: "Built in 1915, Reed School served as a one room country school through 1951. It provided a 1st-8th Grade education with only one teacher. Gordon Smith attended 1st Grade at Reed School in 1939. His memories were the catalyst that lead to its restoration and reopening as the Wisconsin Historical Society's 10th Historic Site in 2007."
Alan: "We're thrilled to have a one room school historic site here in Neillsville. It's pretty special because there are only 12 state historic sites around the state and Neillsville has one of them."
Kwik trip celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 2015. Carrie Converse was present to offer a brief thank you for the recognition.
Deanna: "Kwik Trip opened its very first store in Eau Claire, Wisconsin in 1965. As a family owned company, they have shaped their mission statement and core values around providing a positive experience for their customers. Today, Kwik Trip employees over 14,000 people in over 475 Kwik Trip, Kwik Star, Hearty Platter and Tobacco Outlet Plus stores in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa."
Carrie: "I'm going to keep this really short and sweet. I just want to thank you all for coming in. I recognize pretty much everybody. I'll see you on Monday for coffee! And I'm not going to ask you today if you need a doughnut or cookie with your coffee this evening. So, thank you very much!"
