Neillsville Man Arrested for Causing an Accident While Under the Influence

-A Neillsville man was arrested for causing an accident that resulted in injuries to him and his passenger.Around 10pm on Saturday, 21-year-old Jason Winge from Neillsville was traveling west on State Highway 95 when the vehicle started to slide sideways into the ditch near Avon Road in the Town of Alma. The vehicle entered the ditch and rolled twice.
Both Winge and his passenger, 21-year-old Tiffany Knight from Black River Falls, were not wearing their seat belts and they were thrown from the vehicle. Knight was transported by helicopter to a local hospital. Both Winge and Knight suffered non-life threatening injuries. Winge admitted drinking before the crash and was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, causing injury.
