Colby Woman Sentenced for 5th OWI

-A Colby woman, who was charged with her 5th OWI 2015's Halloween weekend, entered a plea and was sentenced in Marathon County Court on Wednesday.According to authorities, around 2am on Sunday, November 1st, 44-year-old Wendy Fremming was found in a ditch near Highway 29 in Stettin. She allegedly told police that she had been drinking and drank one more before police showed up because she knew she was going to jail anyway. Her preliminary breath test came in at .188.
Fremming has been charged in Marathon County Court with 5th offense OWI, operating a vehicle with a revoked license and failure to install an ignition interlock device. Her other OWI convictions go back to 1996, 2001 and 2 and 2012. She was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, 5th offense OWI. The remaining charges were dismissed and read in. She was sentenced to 3 years' probation, she must attend AA, she must complete community service and she must have an ignition interlock device on her vehicle for 3 years.
