Results of Neillsville Elementary Spelling Bee

-The Neillsville School District Spelling Bee for grades four through eight was held on Wednesday, February 3rd.

The winner was Callie Schmidt, daughter of Brad and Carrie Schmidt. The winning word was "nonage". In second place, was Kara Oldham daughter of Tim and Kim Oldham. Macey Dickinson, daughter of Allie and Paul Dickinson, took third place. Judges for the spelling bee were Kay Weirauch, Ruth Clark, and Kory Poeschel. Donna Fabian was the pronouncer and spelling bee coordinator.

Callie Schmidt will compete in the CESA 10 Regional Spelling Bee on February 18th in Thorp. The other contestants that participated in the Neillsville School District Spelling Bee because they had placed first in their classroom spelling bees were: Ivey Bowe, Aubrey Matousek, Sofia Apolinario, Elizabeth Reinart, Arianna Rochester, Peyton Heiman, Micah Zoschke, Emily Galetka, Cameron Waters, Amelia Trunkel, Beau Julien, and Cody Kuehl.

Students who placed second in their classroom spelling competitions were alternates. Those students were: Braylon Boyer, Maria Cortez-Schneider, Amelia Warren, Ella King, Lainey Horn, Avery McFarlane, Kattie Roidt, Alexa Ball, Michael Byrne, Paul Craig, Emily Hanson, Stone Johnson, Brain Guizar, Nick Derfus, Dominic Elmhorst, and Alli Schoengarth.
