Onalaska Man Sentenced for Drug Charges in Jackson County Court

-An Onalaska man, arrested in August of last year when he drove by the Merrillan Police Department smoking marijuana, was sentenced for the incident on Monday.32-year-old Benjamin Ahlstrom drove by the Merrillan Police Department when Chief Michael Johnson was standing outside. Chief Johnson could smell the marijuana as Ahlstrom went by. Ahlstrom was pulled over and they found six grams of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia inside. Another man, Ahlstrom's passenger Ty Martin, was arrested as well for an unrelated felony probation warrant.
Ahlstrom was found guilty, due to a no contest plea, of possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to one year probation.
