Cash Bond Set for Black River Falls Inmate Who Escaped from the Black River Falls Correctional Center

-An inmate who escaped the Black River Falls Correctional Center back in August had a cash bond set against him in Jackson County Court on Thursday.On August 2nd of 2015, the Jackson County Sheriff's Department received a call from the Black River Correctional Center that Kaeden Dumholt had escaped and a vehicle was reported stolen from the area he had last been seen. Dumholt is also linked to a stolen and crashed vehicle from Eau Claire and a home invasion and high speed chase in Sawyer County near Hayward.
He was spotted in Rice Lake in Barron County two weeks later. Sheriff's Deputies contacted a man that was walking around a house on 19th Street. The man said he had broken down and was looking for help. One of the deputies recognized the man as Dumholt and he was taken to the Barron County Jail where his fingerprint was scanned confirming his identity. Dumholt has been charged with escape and operating a vehicle without the owner's consent. A $10,000 cash bond has been set against him.
