Report of Officers at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Report of Officers at their meeting on Tuesday.The department had 137 complaints, 53 service calls, 49 traffic citations, 98 traffic warnings, 6 traffic crash investigations, 19 ordinance citations, 11 adult arrests, 1 case referred to D.A. for charges, 7 juvenile cases and 81 parking citations for the month of December.
Some other notable activity included the Neillsville Police Department's participation in the "Shop with a Cop" event. Neillsville Officers also attended a seminar on responding to an abducted child which came in handy as a child was abducted by his estranged father two days later. The department also participated in the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign" and the "Santa in Blue" program.
Finally, the department has been warning residents about a returning IRS Scam, some suspicious people who claimed they were selling items door-to-door and an incident involving a Withee man trying to break his wife out of prison.
