-A Marshfield man charged in Marathon County for using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime entered a plea to the charge against him on Friday. In 2015, Jason Scheel's arrest was the result of an online sex sting started by the Brown County Sheriff's Department. Scheel was one of over 20 men arrested in the incident. The purpose of the three day sting was to target child predators. Members of the Brown County Sheriff's Department posed as children on Craigslist and sent advertisements to counties throughout the state. If someone wanted to meet up, that county's department would make an arrest.
Scheel pleaded guilty to the charge on Friday and he'll be back in court on March 18 for sentencing.
