Mosinee Woman Accused of Stealing Vehicle in Neillsville Appears in Clark County Court

-A Mosinee woman who stole a vehicle hear in Neillsville back in November made an initial appearance in Clark County Court on Friday.On Friday, November 27th, the Neillsville Police Department received a report of a stolen vehicle from 103 Grand Avenue. The vehicle was a White 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. During the investigation, the department developed a suspect and learned they may be traveling to Mosinee. Their suspect was identified as Melissa Hilleman of Mosinee. The Marathon County Sheriff's Department was notified.
On Sunday, November 29th, the Marathon County Sheriff's Department recovered the stolen vehicle from a private residence northwest of Mosinee. Evidence inside the vehicle linked Ms. Hilleman to the crime. Ms. Hilleman has been charged in Clark Co. Circuit Court with one felony count of auto theft, one misdemeanor count of auto theft, and two misdemeanor counts of theft of movable property. She has a $5,000 cash bond set against her and she'll be back in court this Friday for a preliminary hearing.
