Governor Walker in Chippewa Falls for Groundbreaking Ceremony

-Governor Scott Walker joined community leaders in Chippewa Falls on Monday for the groundbreaking ceremony of a new hotel built by Cobblestone Hotels, LLC.The groundbreaking ceremony marked the construction of the 14th Cobblestone Hotel and Suites in Wisconsin. "We are excited to be here for the groundbreaking of the Cobblestone Hotel in Chippewa Falls," Governor Walker said. "Tourism is a major driving force for Wisconsin's economy contributing $18.5 billion in 2014. Additions to our tourism industry positively impact our communities through job creation, workforce development, and infrastructure investments."
Construction on the new hotel in Chippewa Falls is scheduled to begin in mid-January, and the hotel is expected to be completed in August of 2016. The $6 million project includes a restaurant, bar, exercise room, and swimming pool. The hotel will have a total of four floors with 45 hotel rooms.
