Thorp Students Selected for FFA SAE Grants

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The Wisconsin FFA Foundation has announced that thousands of dollars have been awarded to Wisconsin FFA members in Supervised Agricultural Experience program grants this month.SAE programs apply the concepts learned in the agricultural education classroom and the skills developed through FFA membership to individual experiential learning projects. Programs are classified as placement or entrepreneurship and span a broad range of agricultural careers and businesses. The grants were awarded in four different SAE categories: aquaculture, dairy, organic agriculture and start-up grants. Successful candidates were chosen based on the level and scope of their SAE in accordance with their age, their future goals and plans for the program and financial need.
There were a couple Clark County Students selected for the grants. Ellie Windl of Thorp was selected for an Organic Ag SAE Grant and Gracie Lynn Hauser of Thorp was selected for an SAE Grant from the National FFA.
