Employment Matters at the Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council approved the resignation of the Deputy Clerk-Treasurer at their meeting on Tuesday.Ellen is resigning to accept a position as the City Clerk of Verona and will be resigning on January 8th of 2016. Ellen said the resignation was a hard choice, but she will be closer to family by accepting this position. The council reluctantly accepted the resignation and wished her luck. They also approved advertising for the position, which will be open until January 29th of 2016.
They also accepted hiring Luke Friemoth as the new Water Operator/Utilities Foreman. However, this left a Water Operator/Utilities position open, so the council approved advertising the position, in house first for a week, then outside. Finally, the city accepted a bid from MSA Engineering to do a 3-Year Phosphorous Compliance Proposal Study which is required by the DNR. The price was $11,900 and there is money in the budget for it.
