Greenwood School Board Approves DPI Grant

-The Greenwood School Board accepted a grant at their meeting on Wednesday.The board accepted a grant from the DPI in the amount of $1000. This grant was secured by Ashley Calderwood the district guidance counselor for the BLAST program. The board approved the employment of Dolores Horn as a temporary part-time office assistant and they approved the volunteer basketball coach application of Dillon Serocki.
During the public comment portion of the meeting a community member offered information regarding previous board policy discussion and a student from a neighboring community addressed the board regarding the possibility of continuing to play football next fall.
Finally, they approve the first reading on Policy 5113 Open Enrollment and 5113.1 Course Options. Changes in these policies are necessitated by the state budget. They also approved the second reading of Policy 8451 Pediculous [Head Lice] Formerly policy 453.6. The board recommended a couple of edits to the policy and approved policy and procedures.
