Neillsville Police Department Participating in 3rd Wave of "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over"

-In an effort to save lives and prevent injuries, the Neillsville Police Department will join law enforcement agencies from all over Wisconsin in the 3rd wave of the annual "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign from December 18th to January 3rd.The goal is not to arrest more drunken drivers, but to deter drunken driving so we can reach zero preventable traffic deaths. Last year, there were 162 fatalities in alcohol-related crashes. The department's officers are well trained in identifying the signs of impaired driving.
The Neillsville Police Department urges you to follow these common sense suggestions including choose a sober designated driver before you start drinking, if you feel buzzed, you are likely over the .08 BAC limit and should not drive and take a taxi or ask a sober friend to drive you home.
