Coronavirus Numbers for November 17th

-Taking a look at some local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 1,697 positive cases.  Of those, 466 are currently active and 123 needed to be hospitalized.  Clark County has had 28 people die from the virus.  Wood has seen a total of 3,142 positive cases.  Wood has had 17 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 316,758 positive cases (an increase of 4,389 over the previous day) and 2,649 deaths, an increase of 12 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 14,499, or 4%, have been hospitalized.  For our other neighboring counties, in total, Chippewa has seen 3,580 positive, Eau Claire has seen 6,149 positive, Jackson has seen 1,262 positive, Marathon has seen 8,200 positive and Taylor has seen 883 positive.

Marathon has had 96 people die from the virus; Chippewa has had 41 people die from the virus; Eau Claire has had 42 people die from the virus; Taylor has had 10 people die from the virus; and Jackson has had 3 people die from the virus.
