Administrators' Reports at Greenwood School Board Meeting

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators' Reports at their meeting last week.The Business Manager and District Administrator Todd Felhofer will be attending A Baird School Budget Model Workshop in Wausau November 19th and a Special Board Meeting is scheduled for December 9th at 6:30 pm. This meeting will feature a Baird School Finance Presentation.
Mr. Felhofer also said that the WASB Convention is January 19-22 in Milwaukee. Board members Pam Delo, Mark Shain and the District Administrator will be attending. He also provided updates and potential impact on proposed legislation in regards to referendums, energy efficiency exemptions, private school vouchers, and parent opting-out children from testing. Finally, he said that a temporary office assistant position has been posted and he hopes to fill the position this week.
High School Principal Todd Fischer provided an update on curriculum work and Universal Design for Learning. MS/HS staffs continue to work on refining grade level and subject learning targets. A recap on the Educational Alphabet Soup meeting was given. The elementary school fund raiser earned more than $8,000 and the PBIS program kicked-off at the Middle/High School a couple weeks ago.
