November is National Adoption Month, Final

Friday, November 20th, 2015 -- 1:35 PM

-The Holidays are upon us and it can be a difficult time for childless couples trying to adopt a baby to make their family complete.

November is National Adoption Month and there have been many changes to the adoption process in recent years. I spoke with Cassie Ronning, a Catholic Charities Adoption Social Worker, and Wisconsin native Katie, who's trying to adopt a baby with her husband. They provided some final thoughts to end our interview.

Cassie: "I would like your listeners to know, that if they are considering to make an adoption plan, that we have a system list of approved waiting families that are very safe and appropriate and loving and they really just want a baby to complete their family. And all of our families at Catholic Charities are open to an open adoption. They really want to have a life long connection with the child and a birth family.

Katie: "The reason I'm doing this interview today is in hopes that there is someone out there, maybe, that's listening who is potentially thinking of an adoption plan and would consider someone like my husband and I who would be loving, caring parents to raise their child. And just to consider options like that."
