One Killed in House Fire Near Medford

-One man was killed in a house fire near Medford in Taylor County on Tuesday.The fire occurred on County Road M in the Town of Greenwood Tuesday morning. When the department arrived, the house was engulfed in thick, black smoke. They tried to enter twice as they believed somebody was inside, but the smoke forced them back.
When they were able to get inside, they found 77-year-old Leroy Thieme unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the hospital in Medford a short while later. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
