Clark County Health Department's Flu Clinics Today, Wednesday and Thursday

Monday, November 16th, 2015 -- 10:16 AM

-It's that time of the year again; get your flu shot and stay healthy!

Did you know the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends everyone 6 months of age and older to get a yearly influenza vaccine? The Clark County Health Department is offering flu clinics throughout the county providing flu vaccinations FREE OF CHARGE to all CHILDREN regardless of insurance status at special clinics. This means any individual 6 months through 18 years of age is eligible. You do NOT have to be a resident of Clark County. Children under the age of 18 need to have a consent form filled out and signed by a parent/guardian.

The Clark County Health Department will be having one flu clinic today from 5:00pm-6:30pm at the Clark County Rehabilitation & Living Center in the Multipurpose Room. They'll be having two others this week, one on Wednesday, November 18th from 3:30pm-6pm at the Greenwood High School in the Library and the other on Thursday, November 19th from 3:30pm-6pm at the Loyal Elementary School in the Conference Room.

Adults, age 19 and older, may also receive their flu vaccine at these clinics. The Health Department will bill your insurance carrier as long as you present your insurance card at the clinic. If you do not have insurance, you may pay by cash or check for the adult flu vaccine. The cost of the adult flu vaccine is $30.00. To learn more about the flu, the vaccine and the department's clinic schedules, visit the Clark County Health Department's website.
