Report of Officers at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Report of Officers from Neillsville Police Chief Scott Klueckmann at their meeting last week.The department had 163 complaints, 78 service calls, 72 traffic citations, 129 traffic warnings, 5 traffic crash investigations, 11 ordinance citations, 20 adult arrests, 9 cases referred to the DA for charges, 7 juvenile cases and 59 parking citations.
He also mentioned a case in Neillsville where a 25-year-old woman was charged with child neglect and assistance with an accident that occurred on Highway 10 south of Chili. Information on the vicious dog ordinance change has been sent out to the vicious dog owners in the city and one has removed their dog, but the other will probably seeking a hearing to try and keep the dog in the city. Finally, he mentioned that people are adjusting to the new parking rules by the school, there were no other major issues during the power outage besides the power being out, and the department was chosen for a $4,000 Transportation Safety Grant that will be used for the purchase of a new camera in their squad car.
