The Neillsville City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting on Tuesday.The usual amount of work was done in the city the past couple weeks including equipment maintenance, park and cemetery maintenance, hauling brush and compost, opening and cleaning storm drains, removing falling decoration, putting up Christmas decorations and more.
It was also mentioned that they are continuing leaf pick up in the city. However, it was mentioned again that if you don't have your leaves on the curb when they go by your house, they won't be back until later, if at all depending on when the snow flies. If you go out and rake the leaves right after they go by, they won't turn around. You'll have to wait. They won't be picking up branches unless it rains and they can't pick up leaves.
Finally, it was mentioned that they have received their supply of salt and sand for this winter and the power outage from last Friday was mentioned as well.
