Neillsville City Council Approves 2016 Budget

-The Neillsville City Council approved the city budget and levy at their meeting on Tuesday.There were no appearances during the budget hearing. And the council approved a proposed levy of $1,099,604 with a mil rate of $9.39 for a $100,000 home. Neillsville's expenditures came to $3,422,562 and revenues, not including property taxes, coming to $2,371,413.
The council also heard the committee reports. They heard a brief review of what was discussed at a Library Board Meeting held at 5pm on Tuesday before the council meeting. They also heard a review of the Personnel Committee meeting which was held just before the Common Council meeting. Finally, they heard the report from the Historic Preservation Commission meeting held on November 4th at 6:30pm. They finalized this year's Christmas Tour of Homes at that meeting.
