-The Neillsville City Council approved some budget transfers at their meeting on Tuesday.Due to some new employees the City of Neillsville saw this year, they won't use all of the money that was budgeted for retirement and health insurance. So, it was suggested that money be moved into other areas of the budget where it's needed.
In this case, they moved a total of $29,000 from health insurance and retirement and moved it to help cover the cost of a new dump truck that ended up going over budget. The amount of funds moved for that purpose came to $3,829. The rest, $25,171, went towards and emergency vehicle that's needed.
It was decided that moving those funds into the different areas would be better than just letting it lapse into the General Fund.
