Well Water Testing Opportunity for Clark County Residents, Part 3

-Clark County residents have a fantastic opportunity, provided by the Clark County UW-Extension Office, to have their water tested at a reduced cost.The department will be offering water testing to county residents so you can know what's in your well water. Melissa Kono, CNRED Agent for Clark County, talked about the cost of the project.
"Land Conservation, this is really a program that they started. Their committee agreed to help fund to offset the cost of these tests. Because usually it's $120 for the test, but due to this funding that the Land Conservation Committee kicked in, we can do it for $50 which is a great bargain."
"We are going to do an educational program, probably after the 1st of the year, where people can come, have their test results read and we talk about what it means. What water quality means, what any results they got back could indicate and how to eradicate hazards."
"And, we've been billing this as a household testing, but really any wells we would like tested, especially farm wells, just because we want to know what's in our water whether it's cows drinking the water or children. We want to know."
