Clark County Health Department's Flu Clinics this Week

Monday, November 9th, 2015 -- 9:42 AM

-It's that time of the year again; get your flu shot and stay healthy!

Did you know the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends everyone 6 months of age and older to get a yearly influenza vaccine? The Clark County Health Department is offering flu clinics throughout the county providing flu vaccinations FREE OF CHARGE to all CHILDREN regardless of insurance status at special clinics. This means any individual 6 months through 18 years of age is eligible. You do NOT have to be a resident of Clark County. Children under the age of 18 need to have a consent form filled out and signed by a parent/guardian.

The Clark County Health Department will be having their flu clinics on Wednesday, November 11th from 3:30pm-6pm at the Abbotsford Elementary School in the Conference Room. They'll be having another one on Thursday, November 12th from 3:30pm-6pm at the Neillsville High School in the Auditorium.

Adults, age 19 and older, may also receive their flu vaccine at these clinics. The Health Department will bill your insurance carrier as long as you present your insurance card at the clinic. If you do not have insurance, you may pay by cash or check for the adult flu vaccine. The cost of the adult flu vaccine is $30.00. To learn more about the flu, the vaccine and the department's clinic schedules, visit the Clark County Health Department's website.
